At B.Grimm Power, we hold a profound sense of responsibility towards preventing and controlling any potential impact from our operations on the communities and environment in which we operate, and we take pride in contributing to robust and sustainable growth within these communities. Therefore, we are fully committed to implementing projects that generate a positive impact on the community, society, and the environment around each power plant, with a focus on social and quality of life development, the environment, and other areas aligned with the unique context of each operating area.

The B.Grimm Boworn (Village, Temple, School) project was initiated in 2020 to drive the development of the community and society, promoting real potential and long-term sustainability. The project aims to elevate the community in all aspects of the economy, society, environment, and people, in line with the Royal Initiative of “House, Temple, School” and the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy of H.M. the late King Rama IX. The goal is to instil the community’s love for its homeland and build secure occupations and incomes, enabling a strong community with happiness, balance in life, and sustainable self-reliance.

In 2022, B.Grimm Power, in collaboration with the Mechai Viravaidya Foundation, introduced the Partnership School Project, which utilises schools as the central hub for integrated community development to improve the quality of education, students’ quality of life, and the well-being of surrounding community members. This long-term initiative focuses on 9 key activities:

Capacity building for teachers, students, and community members
Agricultural plots for poverty reduction
Savings and microloan funds for livelihood development
Provision of educational tools, equipment, and learning materials
Food security and income generation for the elderly
Health, environmental, and tree-planting initiatives

In 2025, the company completed the renovation of the sermon hall (Sala Kan Parian) at Wat B.Grimm, finished in October 2024, to serve as a space for ongoing religious and community activities. The company also managed the Partnership School Project with the Mechai Viravaidya Foundation through its third year, with an evaluation by more than 30 teachers, students and community members reflecting their satisfaction and desire for the project to continue. In addition, the project provided advice and developed approaches for the community development bank, agricultural garden management, chemical-free vegetable plots, and landscaping around the solar panel area. The project also expanded to support the elderly through coordination with the Khlong Thap Chan Subdistrict Elderly Club, supporting health and Thai traditional medicine activities. The club won first runner-up at the national level for “Outstanding Model Area for Elderly Clubs” in 2025.

Overall, the B.Grimm Boworn (Village, Temple, School) project serves as a key mechanism for engaging all sectors, strengthening schools, temples and communities, and laying the foundation for sustainable long-term development.

B.Grimm Power has partnered with the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) to drive innovation in energy and smart agriculture under the Smart Agriculturist for Thailand’s Future framework, which aims to apply knowledge, technology and research in practice to sustainably elevate agriculture, education and community quality of life. Under this framework, we developed the pilot “Semi-Transparent Solar Panel Installation Project” at Wat Bangkadi Community School, Pathum Thani Province, as a model integrating Smart Energy, Smart Farm and Smart Environment, serving as a source of clean energy, a hands-on learning centre and an innovation demonstration space for young people and the community.

The project installed 6 kWp of transparent and colour-changing solar panels (Transparent & Color-changing Solar Panel) on the school grounds, generating approximately 720 kWh of electricity per month and reducing electricity costs by approximately THB 3,384 per month, or THB 40,608 per year. The electricity supports teaching and school activities as well as agricultural and vocational skills activities, powering equipment such as beauty vocational training tools, agricultural processing tools, and water pumping or cultivation systems. This helps build vocational skills; for example, students at Wat Bangkadi Community School have developed skills in growing vegetables using integrated Smart Farm techniques and can sell their produce to earn supplementary income, while students and the surrounding community gain technology knowledge and a mindset of efficient resource use. Environmentally, the project reduces greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 4.3 tCO2e per year, equivalent to planting around 432 trees, demonstrating the potential of clean energy innovation to support climate change goals.

This pilot project is therefore an important model for applying research and innovation in the education sector and communities, reflecting B.Grimm Power’s role in conducting business alongside creating shared value for society, and marks the starting point for extending the Smart Agriculturist for Thailand’s Future concept to other areas in the future.

B.Grimm Power implements the “Saengtham Thuathai” project to enhance the social, spiritual and environmental quality of life of communities, in line with our vision of “Empowering the World Compassionately”. We apply our clean energy expertise to increase energy access, reduce costs and strengthen energy security for temples, schools and community healthcare facilities in our operating areas. Launched as a tribute to His Majesty the King on an auspicious royal occasion, the project is delivered end-to-end, from site assessment and design to the installation of solar power systems by expert engineers, as well as long-term maintenance and monitoring, ensuring continuous and lasting benefits for communities.

In 2025, the company installed on-grid solar power systems with a total capacity of approximately 78 kW at 10 sites, covering temples, schools and community healthcare facilities in 7 provinces, with a total budget of approximately THB 3.45 million. The systems help reduce electricity costs and improve energy stability for user communities. The company emphasises comprehensive quality management, including adapting designs to site conditions, managing documentation and grid connection, and preparing infrastructure for a generation Monitoring System, to ensure effective long-term use. The Saengtham Thuathai project is thus a key mechanism for reducing energy costs, enhancing community quality of life, and supporting a tangible transition to clean energy.

B.Grimm CARE & SHARE “Health Canvas Bag” is B.Grimm Power’s public health support project, which aims to strengthen primary healthcare capacity in communities by providing essential medical equipment for patient home visits to health personnel and caregivers in areas surrounding our projects. Each Health Canvas Bag contains basic medical equipment such as a blood pressure monitor, a fingertip pulse oximeter and first-aid supplies, helping to improve the speed, coverage and efficiency of community-level patient visits. The company delivered a total of 12 bags to 10 healthcare facilities, including Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospitals (SHPH) and public health service centres in various areas, with a total support value of THB 60,000.

The project reflects B.Grimm Power’s commitment to enhancing people’s quality of life, strengthening community health systems, and conducting business with social responsibility in a sustainable manner.

B.Grimm Power organised the B.Grimm Open House Open Heart 2025 programme to give communities and stakeholders surrounding its power plants the opportunity to visit and learn about power plant operations first-hand, with a focus on transparent communication, mutual understanding and building long-term confidence in the company’s operations. The programme was held at the Amata B.Grimm Power (ABP1-5), B.Grimm BIP Power (BIP1-2) and B.Grimm Power (Ang Thong) (BPAT1-3) power plant projects, covering information on electricity generation processes, environmental, safety and occupational health measures, site visits to actual operating areas, and open forums for dialogue between the company and communities to hear stakeholders’ suggestions and concerns directly. In 2025, a total of 107 participants from 4 communities took part across 3 sessions, with a satisfaction rate of over 87%, reflecting improved understanding of power plant operations, positive attitudes towards the organisation, and stronger relationships between the company and local communities.

We believe that the B.Grimm Open House Open Heart programme is a key mechanism for strengthening collaboration with communities, promoting mutually supportive coexistence, and supporting sustainable development alongside our long-term energy business.

We implement initiatives tailored to the context and needs of each area, covering the promotion of agriculture and food security, the development of education and basic school infrastructure, and the promotion of public health and well-being. These initiatives are delivered in partnership with communities, educational institutions and government agencies to strengthen self-reliance and support sustainable, long-term community development.

Sustainable Cultivation Centre at Xenamnoy and Xekatam, Lao PDR

B.Grimm Power recognises food security as a fundamental foundation for people’s quality of life. In response, we established the Xenamnoy and Xekatam Sustainable Agriculture Learning Centres near our hydropower plants in Pakxong District, Champasak Province, Lao PDR. These centres aim to improve the quality of life and promote the self-reliance of local communities by promoting organic agriculture. Key activities include natural water source conservation, education on preventing forest burning, and soil restoration to maintain essential nutrients for farming. The project also supports organic farming and home vegetable gardening, provides training on water-based, no-turn composting techniques to reduce chemical use, and introduces solar pump technology as a renewable energy alternative to reduce farmers’ costs. Additionally, the initiative raises awareness of soil, water and forest conservation in collaboration with the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry at Champasak University, which transfers knowledge and practices suited to the local context, strengthening food security, self-reliance and long-term quality of life for communities.

Key activities in 2025 include:

Vermicompost production training for farmers in communities surrounding the power plants, promoting the use of organic fertiliser in place of chemical fertiliser, reducing production costs, and strengthening resource management and self-reliance at the household level.
Coffee Yield Enhancement, applying pest management technology and organic fertilisation techniques to increase productivity and secure stable incomes for farmers.
Established a model vegetable garden at Huaykong Secondary School in Pakxong District as an agricultural learning space for students, allowing them to develop hands-on skills, access fresh and nutritious vegetables, and cultivate an awareness of sustainable farming practices.
Conducted a hands-on workshop on low-cost animal feed production for communities from Namtoud, Nongtuang and Upacha villages, with technical expertise from Champasak University, to reduce livestock production costs and enhance community food security.

These activities reflect the collaboration between B.Grimm Power, academic institutions and communities in applying agricultural and natural resource management expertise to build food security, develop livelihoods and sustainably enhance community quality of life.

Education and Basic School Infrastructure

B.Grimm Power recognises education as the foundation for the development of children, youth and communities. We therefore work with educational institutions and local agencies to expand educational opportunities, improve basic school infrastructure, and strengthen knowledge of STEM, clean energy and environmental conservation, providing young people with a conducive learning environment and practical skills they can apply in daily life and community development.

Key activities in 2025 are as follows:

Support for Education and Basic School Infrastructure: B.Grimm Power, together with teachers, students and communities surrounding its hydropower plant, carried out activities for 2 primary schools in Thathom District, Xaisomboun Province, Lao PDR, namely Ban Nam Long Primary School and Ban Chamkorthong Primary School, covering 2 villages, Ban Namlong and Ban Chamkorthong, and benefiting more than 150 students and young people. Activities included the donation of school supplies, sports equipment and essential teaching materials, as well as the construction and improvement of the school water supply system for drinking and domestic use, with a total value of over THB 40,000. In addition, environmental conservation education was provided to instil the responsible use of natural resources and encourage young people to apply this knowledge at school, at home and in their communities.
Youth Power for a Sustainable Future and Energy Project: B.Grimm Power implemented the project at Xaysettha Secondary School, Xaysettha District, Vientiane Capital, to promote STEM knowledge alongside an understanding of clean energy and environmental conservation through experiential, hands-on learning. Students took part in creative activities such as designing the “Clean Energy… for Everyday Life” campaign, which helped develop analytical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork and structured communication skills, while encouraging them to apply clean energy concepts in their daily lives. In 2025, 124 teachers and students participated, producing 5 short video contest entries.

These activities reflect B.Grimm Power’s commitment to improving school readiness while building future-ready knowledge and skills, enabling children and young people to grow and contribute to sustainable community development.

Public Health

B.Grimm Power is committed to promoting the well-being of people in communities surrounding its power plants. In 2025, we implemented a project focusing on the prevention of HIV and other communicable diseases, and on strengthening the readiness of community health units in health surveillance, prevention and care. This was achieved through the provision of essential medical equipment and supplies, such as medical gloves, disinfectants, wound-cleaning alcohol and health monitoring devices, with a total value of approximately LAK 15 million (approximately THB 21,600), helping to reduce infection risks and improve the efficiency of local health services.

Environment

In 2025, B.Grimm Power implemented reforestation and land restoration projects in Lao PDR, covering the areas around the Xenamnoy and Xekatam (XXHP) and Nam Che 1 (NC1HP) hydropower plants in Paksong District, Champasak Province, and Thathom District, Xaisomboun Province. A total of 1,760 trees of native and ecologically suitable species were planted across 5 hectares, bringing the cumulative total since 2023 to 5,802 trees across 13.43 hectares. These efforts reflect our commitment to conserving and restoring natural resources, enhancing biodiversity, expanding green areas and contributing to climate change mitigation, both in Thailand and across the region, in a continuous and sustainable manner.
National Tree Planting Day, Lao PDR: B.Grimm Power, together with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Lao PDR, supported tree planting to conserve and restore forest resources at Phou Khao Khouay National Park, Ban Veunkabao, Pakngum District, Vientiane Capital. We contributed 1,000 seedlings of native species with economic and ecological value, such as Tae Kha, Du, Tea Hor and Tiew trees, towards the government’s overall target of 12,000 trees, helping to expand green areas in the conservation forest and promote the balanced and sustainable use of natural resources.
