Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister of Thailand, undertook official visits to Australia and New Zealand from 17–22 August 2026. The visits aimed to create new economic opportunities, exchange perspectives, and explore business cooperation between Thailand and the 2 countries, with representatives from the Thai private sector, including B.Grimm Power, with Mr. Nopadej Karnasuta, President - Thailand, Malaysia and Energy & Industrial Solutions Business joining the delegation.

In Australia, at the Thailand–Australia Investment and Business Partnership Reception in Sydney, the Prime Minister and representatives from the public and private sectors of both countries exchanged views, with renewable energy and energy storage identified as key areas of cooperation. In addition, the Board of Investment (BOI) and Austrade supported business linkages, creating opportunities for Thai businesses to build networks and expand collaboration with Australian partners.

In New Zealand, Mr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Thailand, co-chaired a Thailand–New Zealand investor meeting with Hon. Todd McClay, New Zealand’s Minister for Trade. The meeting brought together Thai and New Zealand investors to explore investment opportunities in areas including renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, data centres, food and beverages, hospitality, and real estate.
