Groundbreaking of the first hyperscale data centre in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), Chonburi Province, with an investment of over THB 24.52 billion by B.Grimm Power and Digital Edge, marks a significant milestone in strengthening the nation’s digital infrastructure and positioning Thailand as a regional hub for data centres in Southeast Asia. The project responds to the rapidly growing demand driven by AI and cloud computing, while supporting the expansion of Thailand’s digital economy, with the first phase scheduled to start commercial operations by the end of 2026.
